Opening Dinner
Our Gastronomic Week will kick off with Chef Raymond Blanc OBE from Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons (UK). As a maestro with an orchestra, he will compose the perfect symphony for your palate.

Thursday, June 19th, 2008
Celebrate the cuisine of Chef Francesco Carli, from Copacabana Palace, in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Brazilian cuisine with a strong Italian influence will ensure a true journey of discovery.
Assisting Carli’s menus is an elegant wine list created initially by Luciano Pradissito, the experienced maître d’hôtel of the restaurant of the Hotel Cipriani. Pradissito, who worked at the Savoy in London and the Maxim’s group and a number of top European restaurants before joining the Venice hotel, has assisted in staff training in Rio de Janeiro.

Chef Wilo Benet from Pikayo in San Juan, Puerto Rico, will join us tonight. Almost like an alchemist, he masterly transforms elements and ingredients discovered throughout his extensive travels.
Chef Wilo Benet’s cuisine will be complemented with wines from Pio Cesare (Piedmont, Italy). Take advantage of our unique gastronomic events taking place throughout the year. Our gastronomic week series of events feature world renowned chefs from other Orient-Express properties or famous restaurants and award winning wineries.
The “Gourmet”
The five night Gastronomic Week Package includes: - five nights accommodation
- cocktail every night by the deck of the main dinning room
- the chef’s dinner for two each night with wine pairings
- sumptuous breakfast buffet in the main restaurant
- access to all of La Samanna’s amenities including complimentary non-motorized water sports, scheduled yoga, Pilates, use of tennis courts
The five night gourmet package starts at $3,500 for two people, in a Ocean View Room. Upgrade to a Deluxe One Bedroom Suite at $4,250, (does not include taxes).
The “Appetizer”
The three night Gastronomic Package includes: - a cocktail every night by the deck of the main dinning room
- the chef’s dinner for two each night with wine pairing
- our sumptuous breakfast buffet in the main restaurant
- access to all of La Samanna’s amenities including complimentary non-motorized water sports, use of fitness center, tennis courts and scheduled yoga sessions

Welcome to La Cave! Travel with us to our medieval wine cellar fantasy, for this ultimate dining experience. Our sommelier will take you through a journey of discovery and our honoured Chef will join you in this intimate setting for an open discussion on the menu and a last cheer.
Enjoy a private wine tasting in our award winning wine cellar from $150 per person (2 people minimum). Private wine cellar dinner with our Chef's five course tasting menu and wine pairings, starting at $450 per person.
