La Cave is proud to announce The celebration of Saint-Vincent 'Tournante' our latest private dining experience on January 28th, 29th, 30th and 31st 2010.
Saint-Vincent 'Tournante' is a tradition which started in the Middle Ages, and is a very famous wine celebration which takes place in Burgundy at the end of January each year.
Each year the celebration takes place in a different Burgundian wine growing village, which is decorated by its inhabitants especially for the event. This year the event will take place in Chassagne-Montrachet.
A procession takes place which features the banners of eighty different Burgundian mutual aid associations, costumes of the brotherhoods, statues of saints, a religious mass and enthronements by the brotherhoods.
However, above all it is the tasting of one or several vintages of Saint-Vincent 'Tournante' which attracts a crowd at various different points in the village.
To mark this event our Chef will be preparing a celebratory menu which will be paired with wines from the Burgundy region.
